In her work, choreographer and performer Aline Landreau intertwines textures and environments to question processes of recognition, particularly the possible forms of loss, within performing art. She develops a shifting and primitive identity inside proposals bordering experimental music and visual arts. Her different projects question the conditions of a wider human perception, such as Blur!, and the solo Vox created in 2016. The duet Underneath/Souterrains was created in Tanzfabik Berlin in June 2017 and presented at the National choreographic center of Nantes during Le Grand Huit Festival curated by Honolulu. Her solo work Corpus was premiered in March 2020 at TU-Nantes. She created in autumn 2021 a museum version of that piece named Si loin si proche at the FRAC Pays de la Loire and the Musée d’arts of Nantes, playing with the proximity with works of art in the museum. She created in spring 2023 Narcisse, a duet dedicated also to young audience, performed at Cndc Angers during Conversations festival, TU Nantes, and during Trajectoires festival at the Musée d’arts de Nantes. She is currently working on an inside/outside project called Terre-plein which involves a collective of non professional performers so as to propose two versions of the performance echoing to one another.

Dancing since childhood, she graduated from the dancer course and then from the Essais master program at Cndc Angers under the direction of Emmanuelle Huynh. Aline also works as a performer or assistant with choreographers such as Loïc Touzé, Emmanuelle Huynh, Vincent Dupont, Elise Lerat and Julie Nioche. She regularly gives workshops, guided by a continuous interest for somatic techniques and improvisation, in various contexts such as schools, hospitals and festivals.

Aline co-founded in 2010 the artistic platform Météores based in Nantes, that aims to activate a supportive working community within the contemporary performing arts scene, with, among other activities, the festival Champs Magnétiques.

Météores

Météores is a shared platform dedicated to choreographic research and culture in which each artist develops his/her singular aesthetic and politic project. Co-founded by Agnieszka Ryszkiewicz, Aline Landreau, Émi SH Combet and Laurie Peschier-Pimont in 2010, it has been settled in Nantes (FR) since 2013. Both an artistic constellation and a shared administrative tool, Météores defends the collective intention to affect art and society, while ensuring the production of a multiplicity of artistic formats including performances and installations as well as editorial and pedagogic objects.
